WOOD-egyptianMs. Williams’ 6th grade World History class learned about Egypt and embalming. Students learned that Pharaohs were buried in pyramids, huge triangular tombs, and how the Pharaohs’ corpses were preserved. They also studied how Egyptians removed the organs from the body, using herbs and natron (salt) to clean the body, before wrapping the body in cloth. For their hands-on activity, the students created their own paper-mache mummies using a balloon, bottle, cardboard roll, tape, paper, and glue. What will they learn next?
